An Abundance of Katherines Review

An Abundance of Katherines is a hilariously beautiful read. I would definitely recommend this as a pick-me-up. Though the beginning may make you want to crawl in a corner and die, once we get on the road all things become swell.

I have always loved Green's writing, but in this, he really shines! While immersed in the story, you get little explanations for the things that are going on or translations, since there are some bits in different languages. I can really tell a difference between the book and the translations. It felt to me like I was reading from Colin's point of view in the story, but Green's in the explanations.

Colin is the perfect character to read from, how we get to see all of his anagrams for random things throughout the book. He's funny and smart so that's only a plus!

I, for one, love how the romance is paced. And I mean very paced. When we meet the girl, it's in a perfect situation for the right amount of cringe and awkwardness for Colin. When we get the ever-so-loved first kiss scene later on, I couldn't have imagined it better. *happy fangirl face*

An Abundance of Katherines is just as quirky and funny and beautiful just as you would expect a John Green book to be. It got me out of my reading slump and I would say any book that can do that is a book worth a read!
